[00:00:01] This is a production of the Very Dental Podcast Network.
[00:00:16] Welcome to the Very Clinical Podcast. In about the time it takes to do an MO on three, we will entertain and amaze you with tips and tricks on regular daily dentistry. Here's Kevin and Zach.
[00:00:28] What is up, Very Clinical listeners, and welcome back to yet another episode of the podcast. I'm Zach Binders coming to you from Kansas City, Missouri, with me as always, my trusty co-host, Dr. Kevin Harefriar.
[00:00:40] Kevin, how are things doing in Cleveland tonight?
[00:00:42] It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
[00:00:45] Is it?
[00:00:45] Yeah.
[00:00:46] When this comes out, right?
[00:00:48] Or will this be New Year's?
[00:00:49] Yeah, it should.
[00:00:50] No, I don't know. One of those.
[00:00:51] Okay.
[00:00:51] That's what Alan wants to do.
[00:00:53] They're about the same.
[00:00:55] And Christmas Story was filmed in Cleveland? Is that right?
[00:00:58] Parts were filmed in Cleveland, correct.
[00:01:01] Yeah.
[00:01:01] Yeah.
[00:01:01] It's a big deal.
[00:01:02] The parade scene and the house.
[00:01:06] Excellent.
[00:01:06] You can, it's actually a little, um, tourist destination.
[00:01:10] You can go to the house that Ralphie grew up in.
[00:01:13] I've never been there, but.
[00:01:15] They use that house for that, that sequel, that lame sequel they did on HBO.
[00:01:18] Never saw it.
[00:01:19] Don't know.
[00:01:21] But, um, Ralphie's house.
[00:01:22] Both caught at that one.
[00:01:23] Ralph, yeah.
[00:01:23] Ralphie's house is on the left side.
[00:01:26] You know, we're on the east side.
[00:01:27] We don't mix very much.
[00:01:29] Hmm.
[00:01:30] All right.
[00:01:31] All right.
[00:01:31] As promised, we brought back some esteemed guests.
[00:01:35] Gary Holsgloff from South Carolina.
[00:01:37] Gary, what's up?
[00:01:38] Not much, man.
[00:01:39] Just enjoying the holiday season.
[00:01:41] And all the way from Idaho, Dr. Aaron Elliott.
[00:01:44] Aaron, how are you?
[00:01:46] Excellent.
[00:01:47] Um, skiing and trying to make a bunch of deliveries for oral sleep appliances with medical deductibles met.
[00:01:56] Meeting the FedEx guy.
[00:01:57] I got the FedEx guy's cell number to meet him at the office when we're closed after Christmas.
[00:02:04] Is your guys, uh, Yuletides gay?
[00:02:07] Yes.
[00:02:09] Excellent.
[00:02:09] Very happy.
[00:02:10] Very happy.
[00:02:12] Aaron, I think you're the first person to clearly be podcasting from bed.
[00:02:16] Yeah.
[00:02:16] It looks like you're in your, yeah, that's.
[00:02:18] This is my office.
[00:02:19] Nice touch.
[00:02:20] This is where I do all my work.
[00:02:23] There it is.
[00:02:25] I'm sensing a new podcast.
[00:02:27] Aaron.
[00:02:28] Yeah, it might be.
[00:02:30] Yeah.
[00:02:32] Live from Aaron's bed.
[00:02:36] So, uh, tonight's, uh, bit that, uh, Kevin wanted to do was if we could have a guest on very clinical for 2025, you know, attainable or not, who would that guest be and why?
[00:02:51] So, uh, Kevin, I feel like you should start.
[00:02:54] Okay.
[00:02:55] I will start.
[00:02:56] I feel like I'm going to start at the top.
[00:02:58] Yeah.
[00:02:59] We've talked about this.
[00:03:00] I kind of joked around about it.
[00:03:02] I really had it on my mind to do it.
[00:03:04] And then I chickened out, but I need to get Bill Strupp on here.
[00:03:08] Oh yeah.
[00:03:10] Um, so I'm, I'm going to say it right now.
[00:03:14] I'm going to make it my mission.
[00:03:16] I'll probably fail.
[00:03:18] But, uh, I think, what do you want to talk to Bill Strupp?
[00:03:22] You really want to talk about core buildups in the holy triad?
[00:03:25] I do.
[00:03:26] Okay.
[00:03:26] Yes.
[00:03:28] And biological shaping.
[00:03:30] Those are the three things I want to talk about.
[00:03:32] And, uh, you just, but you just want to know the why you just want to like, no, bro.
[00:03:37] Like, no, I just want to let him talk.
[00:03:39] I'm not going to, I'm just going to let him talk.
[00:03:42] I'm not going to try to no, no, no.
[00:03:45] Uh, I think that would be fun to, to watch or listen.
[00:03:50] Listen, sorry.
[00:03:51] Listen.
[00:03:52] Or both, whatever.
[00:03:54] Um, you know, I, sometime in the summer, I said I was going to do it in our group chat
[00:04:01] and then I chickened out.
[00:04:02] So I've got a Bill Strupp story for you.
[00:04:04] Lay it on us.
[00:04:05] A short one.
[00:04:05] It's a short one.
[00:04:07] So about three years ago when I was, I was, uh, shopping for a boat, one of the brands
[00:04:13] of boat that I was interested in was called Regal.
[00:04:16] And so I joined a Facebook forum, local Regal boats.
[00:04:19] Mm-hmm.
[00:04:20] And one day there was this thread, uh, talking about how horrible Regal's customer service
[00:04:27] was and that this person's new boat came in like all scratched up and stuff.
[00:04:33] Author Bill Strupp.
[00:04:36] My response, Bill feel like you could buff out some of those things with some core paste.
[00:04:45] He gave it a laughing emoji.
[00:04:48] So I felt like I was good.
[00:04:49] Excellent.
[00:04:51] I love that story.
[00:04:53] I wonder if he remembers.
[00:04:54] We'll have to bring that up.
[00:04:55] I doubt it.
[00:04:56] I seriously doubt it.
[00:04:57] I did not buy a Regal so I got off that forum.
[00:05:00] So I don't know how it ended up with his boat.
[00:05:02] I'm sure he was very, he's very miffed about the way his boat was delivered.
[00:05:06] I'm sure the Holy Triad could clean that up.
[00:05:09] Yeah, exactly.
[00:05:11] All right.
[00:05:11] On, onto you, Aaron.
[00:05:13] Dream guest for us to do.
[00:05:15] I think that, um, oral appliance companies because it's like us or fab manufacturers,
[00:05:24] they're like not a high profit margin.
[00:05:27] And so I feel like there's not a lot of marketing.
[00:05:32] And every time I get on an airplane and go somewhere, my goal really is to create awareness.
[00:05:38] And so that patients know they don't have to be miserable and that there is an option and doesn't have to be CPAP.
[00:05:45] But if inspire has gotten some great coverage, they have a lot of money behind it.
[00:05:52] Huge marketing patients are aware of it.
[00:05:55] So to get awareness out, I think one of the best people that we have, I just keep saying we need a celebrity spokesperson for oral appliances.
[00:06:04] You are.
[00:06:06] And then just, I want Joe Coy, the comedian.
[00:06:11] I think he has brought the most awareness to sleep apnea than any other person.
[00:06:17] He makes jokes about it, but he, he makes a very good mess, has a very good message of how important it is.
[00:06:25] And it's not a laughing matter.
[00:06:27] He's lost weight.
[00:06:28] So he loved to see Pat, but I, I reached out to him on X and he actually wrote me back.
[00:06:36] Wow.
[00:06:37] Wow.
[00:06:38] But then he stopped after that.
[00:06:40] I didn't get very far.
[00:06:41] So, um, I just think it would be pretty awesome to have someone like him that has a national platform to really, to really push that.
[00:06:54] But yeah, I just think that we could all come to get manufacturers.
[00:06:58] Dennis could all come together and somehow get the message out better than we are.
[00:07:04] Let's do that podcast with you, Aaron.
[00:07:06] We'll get him on.
[00:07:07] Okay.
[00:07:07] Our people will reach out to his people.
[00:07:10] Yes.
[00:07:10] Yes.
[00:07:13] All right, Gary, you're up.
[00:07:14] Yeah.
[00:07:15] I want a different way.
[00:07:16] I want the remaining Beatles to be on one episode for Kevin and George Brett for Zach.
[00:07:20] And I want y'all to talk about Bill's truck or protocol and the Holy, the Holy triad and just see what their opinions are on it.
[00:07:27] And if they're having a hard hitting analysis.
[00:07:29] All right.
[00:07:30] Gary, you're never going to believe this.
[00:07:31] You stole my idea on the Beatles.
[00:07:33] Oh, that was going to be that.
[00:07:35] I absolutely.
[00:07:36] That was, I was no joke.
[00:07:37] That was exactly.
[00:07:38] Now I got to, I'm glad you were because you got to talk more.
[00:07:40] I was sitting here going, I have gone the complete wrong direction with this because y'all are asking a sustainable stuff.
[00:07:47] And I'm out here bringing back Beatles and Hall of Famers.
[00:07:49] So I was like, y'all went the wrong way.
[00:07:51] Oh, can I, George Brett's such a cool interview to listen to.
[00:07:55] God, his stories are awesome.
[00:07:58] You know, that was an, that was a cool era of baseball where you could like play the game and then go out and get hammered that night and then come back and play the game the next day.
[00:08:08] And like, that dude was a legend down at the bar scene in Casey.
[00:08:12] So many stories.
[00:08:13] Definition of gritty.
[00:08:15] Yeah, absolutely gritty.
[00:08:17] Yeah.
[00:08:17] My, my, one of my friends growing up, you know, uh, was big Alice Cooper fans and fan.
[00:08:24] And now is friends with them.
[00:08:25] They go golfing all the time.
[00:08:26] And I'm like, how did Frank get into Alice's life?
[00:08:31] And I did not get into Paul's life.
[00:08:35] That's what I, Kevin, do you think you'd even be able to function on a podcast?
[00:08:38] Or do you think you'd just be too, like, just blabber?
[00:08:42] Oh, there's so many questions I would like to ask, but they probably wouldn't answer them.
[00:08:47] Would you end up being like Chris Farley when he did an interview with Paul McCracken?
[00:08:50] That's exactly.
[00:08:50] Do you remember when, uh, that's exactly what happened.
[00:08:52] Remember when you were in the Beatles?
[00:08:53] That's exactly.
[00:08:54] I think you and Isaac are one person because I was about to say that.
[00:08:57] I'm like, you'd be the Chris Farley character.
[00:08:58] Like one person, one brain.
[00:09:01] Yeah.
[00:09:01] Yes.
[00:09:02] I love it.
[00:09:03] I love it.
[00:09:04] Okay.
[00:09:04] I like the way you guys think.
[00:09:05] Thank you.
[00:09:07] Uh, well now you, you blew my, you blew my unattainable one.
[00:09:11] Now I, I don't have that one anymore.
[00:09:13] I was going to go with Paul.
[00:09:14] I was going to go with Paul and just like, be like, Hey man, if we could get him on, I
[00:09:18] feel like, and just do a massive hour long Beatles trivia session, who would win?
[00:09:22] Who knows more about the Beatles?
[00:09:24] Paul McCartney or Kevin Fryer?
[00:09:26] Well, um, there is a, uh, a Paul McCartney song that basically says I was there and you
[00:09:32] weren't.
[00:09:32] So like, I think I know more than you do, which it's, it's a very interesting song.
[00:09:37] Early days.
[00:09:37] Listen to that.
[00:09:38] That's, that's your, uh, that's your homework for tonight.
[00:09:42] Okay.
[00:09:43] All right.
[00:09:44] Here's, here's my actual, actual, I think this is, it would be an attainable, attainable
[00:09:48] guest, but, and this is not a clinical.
[00:09:50] This is like another one of those, like almost like your friend Jessica.
[00:09:52] Well, I would like, would love to take something in a short term direction, but, uh, Reese
[00:09:58] Harper has always done that dentist money show.
[00:10:01] And one of my like main passions is not clinical has always been like the investing and, and,
[00:10:08] and like, you know, personal finance side of things.
[00:10:10] And I've always found that guy to be very interesting.
[00:10:13] And I know his business is probably too big to spend time on a podcast like ours, but he's
[00:10:18] been at VOD before I've, that's right.
[00:10:20] His hand and introduced myself and all that.
[00:10:21] But I would love to do like a short, like, you know, four to six episode, like, you know,
[00:10:27] financial, personal finances.
[00:10:29] So that's definitely one of my, definitely one of my passions for sure.
[00:10:31] Let's write this things down.
[00:10:33] It's not very clinical, be very, very financial.
[00:10:35] That's all right.
[00:10:36] A little sub, sub podcast.
[00:10:38] Like very baseball, but very financial.
[00:10:40] Yeah.
[00:10:40] Very beetle.
[00:10:41] Um, very sleepy, very strappy.
[00:10:45] Speaking of offshoot podcast, I think there's a pretty good chance that Alan and I are going
[00:10:49] to have a pretty good, you know, Detroit lions, Kansas city chiefs, very football podcast.
[00:10:54] Yeah.
[00:10:55] Very soon.
[00:10:56] I can be the moderator, the referee.
[00:10:59] Yeah.
[00:11:00] And then maybe the bills too.
[00:11:03] Do you like the bills that your team?
[00:11:06] I went to undergrad.
[00:11:07] The college.
[00:11:08] Yeah.
[00:11:09] Okay.
[00:11:10] Okay.
[00:11:10] We don't like the bills here in Kansas city, Aaron.
[00:11:13] I'm sorry.
[00:11:14] That's a rival.
[00:11:15] It's hard to beat a team twice.
[00:11:16] So I think the chiefs are going to, if they meet again, we've been losing to him in
[00:11:20] the regular season only to return the favor in the playoffs.
[00:11:23] So I'm perfectly fine with that.
[00:11:24] No, it's, it's reversed this time.
[00:11:27] So let's see.
[00:11:28] Oh, okay.
[00:11:29] Okay.
[00:11:30] That's who the bills lost to.
[00:11:32] It's true.
[00:11:33] It's true.
[00:11:35] Okay.
[00:11:36] Now moving on to 2025.
[00:11:39] Are you guys ready to make that, make that move and talk about the future?
[00:11:44] Absolutely.
[00:11:45] You're not sure.
[00:11:46] Yeah.
[00:11:46] Aaron, what's going on?
[00:11:50] What's going on in 2025 for you, for life, for dentistry, for your speaking career?
[00:11:55] What's, what do you got going on?
[00:11:56] I'm going to predict, um, at my practice that we get a full staff.
[00:12:01] Um, I think, I think patients are going to spend money again.
[00:12:06] I think there was some kind of tension and with, with their tightness with the wallet.
[00:12:14] I've noticed a lot of that personally.
[00:12:16] Yeah.
[00:12:16] I think it's going to free up again.
[00:12:18] Especially the fourth quarter.
[00:12:19] Yeah.
[00:12:19] And I think, um, already, um, some major companies are calling the shots again versus the employees
[00:12:28] calling the shots.
[00:12:28] So I kind of went, I think a lot of that employee stuff will, will level out as well.
[00:12:36] Um, I hope you're right about that.
[00:12:38] Cause that's been one of the worst trends since 2020.
[00:12:42] Yeah.
[00:12:43] As far as running a business.
[00:12:44] I hate that.
[00:12:45] They're like mandatory calling people back to the office, like cutting wages.
[00:12:50] Um, they're taking, rolling back some of the, yeah, it's, it's actually a tough job market right now in the corporate world.
[00:12:58] It still is.
[00:12:59] Yeah.
[00:13:00] Um, as far as the, my partnership, um, I'm 50% and Dr. Harness, the other blonde chick and Dr. Lynn are 25 and she's going to be my full partner in June.
[00:13:15] So that'll definitely be weird to have, you know, this guy that I, we've, we've been cruising for 21 years and, um, he's going to be our associate.
[00:13:27] Hmm.
[00:13:28] Yeah.
[00:13:29] Yeah.
[00:13:29] Um, as far as technology, we're kind of at max capacity.
[00:13:34] Like we kind of have all the toys.
[00:13:35] We're getting a new mill.
[00:13:37] Um, the other thing though is, um, over jet.
[00:13:42] So AI, uh, we're, it's the only one that's FDA approved.
[00:13:47] That basically means insurance will kind of honor it and, um, like let you use it for diagnosing.
[00:13:58] Um, so we're going to be implementing that.
[00:14:02] I still, I think I'm not going to jump on the fixed hybrid chain, uh, train.
[00:14:09] I, if a patient needs that, I have a great person to refer them to, but I, I love a dentureless
[00:14:17] cases with loose dentures and just doing a soft tissue guided case.
[00:14:22] It's just, it's so beautiful and they're so fun to do.
[00:14:27] And then the commitment I'm going to make to you, Kevin, is that I'm going to try to scan
[00:14:33] at placement.
[00:14:34] I haven't been doing that.
[00:14:35] Yes.
[00:14:36] Yes.
[00:14:37] So with the new healing abutments and stuff too, I, I'm, I, we're going to do it with
[00:14:43] my new assistant.
[00:14:45] I'll just make her make me do it.
[00:14:48] Excellent.
[00:14:49] I support that.
[00:14:51] I love that.
[00:14:54] So that was my rambling, my predictions.
[00:14:57] Perfect.
[00:14:58] Gary go.
[00:14:59] You're up.
[00:14:59] Personally.
[00:15:00] I'm going to try to lose 20 pounds.
[00:15:02] Um, I've lost at least, I've lost at least 11 this year.
[00:15:06] I've stopped weighing myself.
[00:15:07] It's the first time I ever tried to lose weight and not weigh myself.
[00:15:09] Cause what happens is I get to the weight.
[00:15:10] I won't go a little past it.
[00:15:12] And I just head backwards.
[00:15:13] So the doctor told me my triglycerides didn't improve.
[00:15:17] I was gonna get medications.
[00:15:18] I've kind of, that's motivated me more than just, you know, being carnivore diet, being
[00:15:23] overweight and not as attractive as I could be.
[00:15:25] Um, I'm in the practice getting those air polishes going.
[00:15:29] It's a big thing.
[00:15:29] I'm also wanting to get all the stuff we worked on with consulting years ago, back on
[00:15:34] track.
[00:15:34] Now that the whole team's back, there's no fill ins.
[00:15:36] I've been, have to pick up a lot more slack than ideal is fill ins and stuff have happened.
[00:15:42] And it affects things like sleep implants and ortho is basically going to zero on me
[00:15:48] like sure smile.
[00:15:49] So I'm going to try to get those three going again.
[00:15:52] And that's going to start with our consulting next week that we do like without the consultant,
[00:15:56] we just close half a day and work as a team of getting that stuff dial back in.
[00:16:00] Cause it just, it's drifted away on me.
[00:16:02] And I'm actually going to take both my vacations next year.
[00:16:05] There's going to be no hurricane.
[00:16:07] So we're going to get both of them.
[00:16:08] We're not going to lose due to a week of no power.
[00:16:12] And then the city we were going to getting hit with a hurricane.
[00:16:14] Yeah.
[00:16:15] But that's my 2025.
[00:16:19] Excellent.
[00:16:20] Love it.
[00:16:20] Go ahead, Kevin.
[00:16:21] You got it.
[00:16:22] Well, like Aaron, we started with over jet this week, but we haven't used it yet because it takes a while to get everything going.
[00:16:31] So the training on that is coming up.
[00:16:33] I'm excited to use that.
[00:16:35] And I do think that we are at the capacity for technology right now.
[00:16:40] Although I really think it would behoove us if we could swing it for to.
[00:16:47] Well, I just went down two paths.
[00:16:49] I would like to get a prime scan too.
[00:16:51] I think that will probably happen.
[00:16:54] Um, but I also would like to get the sprint rate printer that will allow me to print retainers because we do a lot of those.
[00:17:03] And, um, I think that would be beneficial to me, but I think that, um, if that's the only reason that we're going to get it, I have to kind of put that in my back pocket for right now.
[00:17:15] Um, you know, I'm, uh, can, well, I can't really say too much about that.
[00:17:22] There may be some changes coming on in the, um, the way my practice is structured.
[00:17:29] If you can read between the lines there.
[00:17:31] Uh, so that is, um, something that's going to be discussed shortly.
[00:17:37] And, um, you know, I,
[00:17:41] Is your associate placing implants?
[00:17:43] Yes, he is.
[00:17:45] And he's scanning at the time of surgery.
[00:17:47] Imagine that.
[00:17:48] What a loser.
[00:17:52] Uh, yeah.
[00:17:55] So that, yeah, we're definitely doing that.
[00:17:58] Um, yeah, I think that, uh, I did like Aaron's not jumping on the hybrid train, um, comment.
[00:18:09] That was very interesting.
[00:18:10] I would like to explore that more, but we probably don't have time, but I agree.
[00:18:13] Uh, or on the same page there.
[00:18:17] Uh, so yeah, I, I don't see anything super major in terms of the practice.
[00:18:26] Yeah.
[00:18:26] I, have you guys had this happen?
[00:18:29] You know, like happens at your house where stuff starts to break down.
[00:18:33] Like, you know, we had to get it, the washing machine.
[00:18:35] So already in the past three months, my compressor went down.
[00:18:40] Yes.
[00:18:41] And then, um, my prime scan, uh, camera crapped out.
[00:18:46] And then, you know, we have a TV in the waiting room.
[00:18:50] This is minor, but we have a TV in the waiting room that, you know, is like a billboard that shows everything we do and all our team.
[00:18:57] And I walk out, you know, this, um, my office manager said, TV's not working.
[00:19:02] I'm like, Oh yeah, it is.
[00:19:03] And I walk out, it's not working.
[00:19:05] So like, it's just one thing after another with these things and.
[00:19:09] The ultrasonic, the autoclave.
[00:19:12] Autoclave.
[00:19:13] Yeah.
[00:19:13] Carpet.
[00:19:15] Those things you can't predict, but stuff happens for sure.
[00:19:21] So you gotta be prepared for that.
[00:19:23] Personally, um, you know, I'm sure I'll be going out to Utah many times this year.
[00:19:30] Um, and you got a trip to the islands coming up too.
[00:19:34] Yeah.
[00:19:35] We have not finalized that we have.
[00:19:37] We've, we've talked about many different options, including we talked about a couple of days ago.
[00:19:43] So that will be happening in the spring.
[00:19:46] Um, and we talked about Turks and Caicos, talked about Barbados, we talked about a bunch of places.
[00:19:51] So we'll, we'll figure that out.
[00:19:53] Uh, that will happen for sure.
[00:19:55] Um, we peripherally talked about Hawaii.
[00:19:58] Um, cause I've never been, so that, that may happen.
[00:20:02] Never been either.
[00:20:03] Yeah.
[00:20:03] Yeah.
[00:20:03] Um, and then, you know, um, doing as much as I can in Raleigh at, at 3D Dennis when they,
[00:20:12] when they want me.
[00:20:14] Um, yeah.
[00:20:15] So, uh, nothing too crazy, but you know, we're moving on.
[00:20:23] That's funny.
[00:20:24] That's a full plate.
[00:20:25] Yeah.
[00:20:25] I think that, uh, also I, I do predict in 2025, I have a podcast lined up with, uh, Paul McCartney.
[00:20:33] Um, that's going to happen in March.
[00:20:37] So how do you reach out to Paul?
[00:20:38] You just go, you know, you go through the, uh, I wrote him a letter.
[00:20:42] You go through X.
[00:20:43] You wrote a letter.
[00:20:44] Yeah.
[00:20:44] It's probably the best fan letter, fan letter.
[00:20:47] I bet that got right to him.
[00:20:48] Dear Paul, I think you're the cutest.
[00:20:51] Yep.
[00:20:52] I think your music is awesome.
[00:20:54] Yeah.
[00:20:56] So, uh, so for me, I've, I've got a lot of staffing things.
[00:21:03] I am getting ready to deal with one.
[00:21:05] We just talked about on the previous episode.
[00:21:07] My, my A1 assistant is going to be gone for the first quarter of the year.
[00:21:11] So I, I front loaded a lot of my vacations to try to be gone as much as I could when,
[00:21:17] uh, she was going to be gone, but it's, it's still going to, it's going to be a, it's
[00:21:22] going to be a little hard to keep production up.
[00:21:25] Uh, even if I spread the load out to some multiple people, I also have a very, very long
[00:21:32] term important staff member that 2025 is her last year.
[00:21:37] And that's going to, that's, it's an, it's like an irreplaceable person.
[00:21:40] It's the kind of person who knows every name of every person and like, like knows their
[00:21:45] schedule.
[00:21:45] Like that's, this is my hygiene person who fills, who Tetris is the hygiene schedule
[00:21:50] and like nails it.
[00:21:51] And so, you know, it's an irreplaceable person, but I've got to find a way to, to do something.
[00:21:55] So I've got a lot of major staffing things.
[00:21:57] And then, you know, from there I've got to figure it out because I said, I've, I've got
[00:22:02] this, I've got the list of things I want to do now that I've kind of have creative control
[00:22:06] of the place.
[00:22:08] And, um, I don't know where to start, but Kevin's really, you know, pull my strings,
[00:22:15] try to get me out to 3d to drop some screws.
[00:22:18] Kevin, at least, at least the onesie twosie guided, like you've got to.
[00:22:24] I know the number of, of those.
[00:22:28] You're probably right, Aaron.
[00:22:30] The numbers of ones I've been sending out just in the last six months has made me, I'm starting
[00:22:35] to count it in my head.
[00:22:37] I'm like, not only am I not providing a decent service for these people, but I'm certainly
[00:22:41] leaving a lot of dollars on the table also.
[00:22:43] So, so it is, um, you will not lose sleep at night with those.
[00:22:47] And the, and the thing is like, like we talked about, well, we'll just say it publicly.
[00:22:51] So all of our audience, like you have me, I can, yes, I know.
[00:22:55] I know.
[00:22:56] So I'm yes.
[00:22:57] And that's a huge, that's a huge motivating factor.
[00:23:00] And I mean, I'm blessed with like a network of people.
[00:23:03] I feel like I could call or talk to through some of these things.
[00:23:08] Um, and that's a really cool thing.
[00:23:09] So that I would have to say staff things and then genuinely considering, um, you know,
[00:23:16] adding, uh, implant services are, are, are, are top of, top of mind.
[00:23:21] That's where you, you, you could get your investment in the course back almost immediately.
[00:23:29] And that's just two for one implants.
[00:23:33] And then I didn't give them two for one for restoring it.
[00:23:38] So that's, it's a good service.
[00:23:42] Yep.
[00:23:43] That's that.
[00:23:44] I think that's really the main motivating factor of it is, is seeing like people have to go through all this hassle to go somewhere else.
[00:23:51] And they just want to get it done, you know?
[00:23:54] And they'd like for me, there's people that have been like, hi, your dad did those.
[00:23:58] Um, why can't you do them?
[00:23:59] I'm like, and I, it's almost a, I feel like shameful or something like that.
[00:24:05] You have the infrastructure too.
[00:24:06] You have the scanner and you have the cone beam.
[00:24:09] I do.
[00:24:09] I have the scanner.
[00:24:10] I've got the cone beam.
[00:24:12] So I've done, I've checked a lot of those, uh, a lot of those, those boxes for sure.
[00:24:17] And I certainly have plenty of, there's some armamentarium that dad has that would cross over to it, even though it's, uh, you know, based on the nineties way of doing things for sure.
[00:24:27] So those, those are, those are things that are on my, on my lists.
[00:24:31] And, uh, there's some insurance and, um, topics that I want to knock off.
[00:24:38] There's some like network things I need to clean up.
[00:24:40] And like I said, I got a pretty long list.
[00:24:42] It's, it was almost intimidating real once, you know, dad walked out of the door and was like, well, I'll, I'll check hygiene patients when you're on, on vacation.
[00:24:51] And that's about all I'm going to do.
[00:24:52] I was great.
[00:24:53] That's cool.
[00:24:54] Um, but it's, it's almost like, wow, I came up with this ginormous list.
[00:24:59] And it's like, how do you filter that down so that you don't overwhelm your staff and yourself?
[00:25:04] One by one.
[00:25:05] You can do one by one is, and that's how I'm doing it.
[00:25:07] Like, you know, pick something every month or two and incorporate it and integrate it.
[00:25:13] Go for it.
[00:25:13] Well, involve your staff too.
[00:25:14] Maybe they're not as overwhelmed as you think.
[00:25:18] I think they're not because a lot of things I've done have taken things off of their plate.
[00:25:23] Cause I've automated a lot of things that they were, they were doing.
[00:25:27] Um, and so I think you're right.
[00:25:29] And I, I agree that like a major staff meeting is going to probably, I think you'll be surprised drive a lot of that.
[00:25:36] Step up.
[00:25:38] I hope so, Aaron.
[00:25:39] And I think so.
[00:25:39] I have really good people.
[00:25:41] I like my people a lot.
[00:25:42] You know, I I'm, I'm blessed with a good, good team of people for sure.
[00:25:46] Very blessed.
[00:25:46] That's the best thing I have going for me.
[00:25:48] Love it.
[00:25:49] Is, is, is a set of good people.
[00:25:51] Um, Zach, what are you going to do to improve your grip strength this year in 2025?
[00:25:58] Um, let me tell you what I've been doing for the last couple of months for a grip strength.
[00:26:01] I haven't mentioned this to you.
[00:26:03] You know, it was like a little squeezy gripper things.
[00:26:06] I decided, you know what?
[00:26:07] I'm going to put one in my car.
[00:26:09] So now on my commute, it's like, you know, all right, 25 reps, the right hand, 25 reps with the, with the, with the left hand.
[00:26:15] So that's my grip strength.
[00:26:16] I thought you were hard with that pushup thing.
[00:26:18] You showed me.
[00:26:19] Oh yeah.
[00:26:20] Well, the pushup thing's cool.
[00:26:22] Uh, but the, the, no, the, put the grip strength thing in the car, because I mean,
[00:26:25] you're always in your car doing nothing.
[00:26:27] I'm working on grip strength, man.
[00:26:30] Grip strength.
[00:26:30] In the car.
[00:26:31] Very important.
[00:26:33] Yeah.
[00:26:33] It's, it's, it's like the only thing that's important, right?
[00:26:35] Gary.
[00:26:36] Really?
[00:26:36] At the end of the day, if you're going to lose 20 pounds, you need to do something to improve your grip strength.
[00:26:40] Also.
[00:26:41] And you too, Aaron, you're a woman.
[00:26:43] You're, you know, you're going to lose some bone density as you go.
[00:26:46] You get older, but not if you improve your grip strength.
[00:26:50] Nobody knows what we're talking about.
[00:26:52] This is the most I've ever talked about grip strength.
[00:26:56] Oh, okay.
[00:26:58] So, well, this is a, if you watch anything, Peter Atiyah, the longevity guy, if you listen
[00:27:03] to anything on him, grip strength comes up high and without grip strength, you're going
[00:27:08] to, uh, you know, your bone density is going to suffer and you're going to get dementia
[00:27:11] and die.
[00:27:12] So just keep that in mind.
[00:27:14] And fall down and break your hip.
[00:27:15] I am fall down and break your hip.
[00:27:17] Yeah.
[00:27:17] I, I, I do lift and have weight bearing exercise with pickleball.
[00:27:22] So, and I'm a, I'm a, I'm a big boned girl.
[00:27:26] So I think osteoporosis is not in my future.
[00:27:31] Good for you.
[00:27:33] That's good.
[00:27:34] Well, Gary, you're new to the grip strength game.
[00:27:37] We'll get you.
[00:27:38] Yeah.
[00:27:38] When we get you up to, up to speed on this.
[00:27:40] When we do this in December of 2025, Gary is going to surpass all of us in his grip
[00:27:44] strength and he, he will report to us about it.
[00:27:47] We just lost most of our listeners.
[00:27:50] I think so too.
[00:27:51] No idea what we're talking about.
[00:27:52] But I really hope that the listeners also work on their grip strength.
[00:27:55] Yeah.
[00:27:55] I hope you do.
[00:27:56] You've been tired and you've got a whole generation of improved grip strength.
[00:28:01] Grip strengthers.
[00:28:03] Now, on Wednesdays, the very grip strength podcasts.
[00:28:06] Every Wednesday.
[00:28:07] Yeah.
[00:28:07] That's right.
[00:28:08] That's what we need.
[00:28:09] I'm going to take a picture of my like little grip strength thing in my, in the car.
[00:28:13] I'm telling you, like, maybe we should use it's an easy hack.
[00:28:15] We're going to do very football when the chiefs play the lions in the Superbowl.
[00:28:21] And then we'll do very grippy sometime like in June, just to go over all our, our health,
[00:28:28] uh, secrets.
[00:28:30] Yeah.
[00:28:30] You do it.
[00:28:32] And call it very grippy.
[00:28:34] I like it.
[00:28:34] Yeah.
[00:28:35] What are you doing for?
[00:28:36] Kevin, you're, you're, I know you're obsessed with it too.
[00:28:38] What are you doing?
[00:28:39] I got the FitBot app.
[00:28:41] That is, uh, okay.
[00:28:42] Yeah.
[00:28:43] So you're, you're gripping those kettle balls, kettlebells and dumbbells and, uh,
[00:28:48] it's good.
[00:28:48] Alas are, what are they called?
[00:28:50] Uh, elastic bands.
[00:28:52] I can't remember what they're called, but the bands are good bands.
[00:28:54] Yeah.
[00:28:55] All right.
[00:28:57] Any, uh, any wild predictions for 2025, either, uh, personally, professionally,
[00:29:02] um, the world, the Indians win the world series.
[00:29:06] Yes.
[00:29:07] I hope so.
[00:29:08] The bills.
[00:29:09] If the Royals can't win it, I always know that Aaron, I'm sorry.
[00:29:13] That didn't happen.
[00:29:13] You know, that, that didn't work out.
[00:29:15] I'm sorry.
[00:29:15] You know what?
[00:29:16] I know there's a lot of Mahomes haters out there, but I think he is a great quarterback.
[00:29:22] I think he makes things happen when he needs to.
[00:29:26] And he, I, I am not a hater.
[00:29:30] I actually love, I think he's, I just think he's Josh Allen.
[00:29:33] I think I'm giving you a hard time.
[00:29:35] Josh Allen and the bills are immensely talented.
[00:29:37] And there's at some point, the chiefs can't, they can't win it, you know, all the time.
[00:29:42] And Josh Allen's going to get his one of these days.
[00:29:46] But I do give credit to my homes.
[00:29:48] I know there's haters out there, but I'm not one of them.
[00:29:52] Gary wild prediction.
[00:29:54] Um, my Miami dolphins do not win the super bowl due to lack of.
[00:29:58] No, they're not.
[00:29:59] They're not going to win the super.
[00:30:00] They don't even have a healthy quarterback.
[00:30:01] That's the, that's us, man.
[00:30:04] That's the easiest prediction we've had.
[00:30:07] That's that's the Cleveland Browns.
[00:30:08] Also, I didn't even mention it.
[00:30:09] Well, that's why I picked the, you didn't have to.
[00:30:12] I like James Winston.
[00:30:14] So yeah, he, he threw for 700 yards yesterday.
[00:30:18] I know he's an animal.
[00:30:21] Yeah.
[00:30:22] He'll throw for it.
[00:30:25] Yeah.
[00:30:28] Um, hang on a second.
[00:30:29] I gotta look something up real quick.
[00:30:33] Oh, the calves could win the championship.
[00:30:36] We're like 20 and two now or something like that.
[00:30:39] Yes.
[00:30:39] Will you even watch if they make it the NBA finals?
[00:30:42] I will.
[00:30:43] I have watched a few games.
[00:30:45] Yes.
[00:30:45] Okay.
[00:30:46] All right.
[00:30:46] That's good.
[00:30:47] I will.
[00:30:48] I will root for the calves to win the NBA finals.
[00:30:52] Yes.
[00:30:52] The NBA started playing in October.
[00:30:56] They play from, they play from Halloween to, uh, like July.
[00:31:00] I think it's the longest season ever.
[00:31:06] It truly is.
[00:31:07] And that's saying something coming from baseball.
[00:31:09] Yeah.
[00:31:10] They don't walk up and down the court.
[00:31:11] So I don't know why they, yeah, they can understand.
